Marco Brey, from Germany, has been in the team since 2007. He is an expert in all things related to the Eurovision Song Contest and is a planning guru.

Victor M. Escudero  from Spain, has been with the team since the 2010 season when the contest was held in Oslo, Norway. He has extensive experience on radio, TV commentary and hosting shows.

Gordon Roxburgh, from United Kingdom, joined the team in the 2010 season. He’s also one of the most informed people in the world about the UK history at the Eurovision Song Contest.

Jakov Leon,  from Serbia, joined the team in 2013. He’s been a professional journalist for over 20 years and has extensive Eurovision Song Contest coverage experience.

Simon Storvik-Green, from the United Kingdom, joined the team in 2010 when the contest was in Oslo, Norway. He’s a social media guru and an expert on all things Scandinavian.

Olena Omelyanchuk was helping the team out already in 2008 but officially joined the ranks in 2011. She has a Ukrainian background and is an expert in Russian-language based social media.

 • Video producers

Wim Dehandschutter, , who’s of Belgian origin, joined the team in 2008 for the Belgrade edition of Europe’s favourite TV-show. He’s a professional journalist and great in story-telling.

Jan Demulder, from Belgium, has been a member of the team since 2008 when the contest took place in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. He’s one of the most known members of the team and has extensive video story-telling expertise.

Stijn Smulders

Stijn Smulders, who comes from the Netherlands, joined the team in 2011 and has a solid background in video production.He has also been involved with other Eurovision events.

Femke de Laat, joined the team in 2013 and is a true video content specialist. She comes from the Netherlands and is a professional video producer over there.

• Photographers

Thomas Hanses, is from Germany and joined the team back in 2012. He’s a long time fan of the contest and has a lot experience in photographing events throughout the world.

Elena Volotova, joined in 2015 and is from Russia. She has also worked at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest and other Eurovision Family events.

Andres Putting, coming from Estonia, joined the team in 2012 and is one of the country’s top press photographers having gathered almost all possible awards in his home country so far.


Not to forget..

Sietse Bakker (The Netherlands) is the Event Supervisor of the Eurovision Song Contest and Supervisor of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest at the European Broadcasting Union. He joined the EBU in 2006 and moved to his current position in 2011.

Jarmo Siim (Estonia) is the Communications Coordinator for the Eurovision Family of Events. He supports communications, public relations and New Media activities, and coordinates the efforts of the volunteer team that is backing the websites.

Wouter van Vliet (The Netherlands) is the Project Developer of the Eurovision Family of Events As such, he is dealing with development of all Eurovision Family event websites and maintains the technical facilities behind them.
