Artisti e Canzoni – Finale ESC 2026

Come già avviene dall’edizione 2023, lo slogan è ‘United by Music’.

Eurovision Song Contest 2026 artist:

🇫🇷 France: Monroe (Monroe Vata Rigby) – “Regarde !” (Look !) (Christopher Cohen, Fred Savio, Fredie Marche, Maxime Morise, Fred Savio). Language: French

Despite being just 17 years old, Monroe is already regarded as an established talent on the French music scene.

The singer came to the attention of audiences in 2025 thanks to her victory in Prodiges, France Télévisions’ flagship talent show. Winning over the jury and the viewers with her powerful voice, artistry and charisma, this victory marked a turning point in her career and opened the doors to national recognition.

Monroe grew up between France and the United States. Introduced to singing and piano at an early age, she developed a solid musical foundation. This was enriched via choir practice and musicals, trained further thanks to her love for classical music and nourished by the demands of opera.

After her debut album was praised for its musical richness and elegance, Monroe now gets to continue her ascent by representing France at Vienna 2026.

Monroe Vata Rigby (born November 19, 2008), known mononymously as Monroe, is a French-American singer. She will represent France in the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 with the song “Regarde !“.

Early life. Rigby was born to Mormon parents Micah and Martine Rigby, the latter of whom immigrated to France from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. She also has four older brothers who have competed in tennis.[2] Having spent her childhood in the United States, Rigby began singing at an early age. As a child, she sang in the church choir, where she discovered her interest in classical music. She then received vocal training and also learned to play the piano.

Career. From December 2024 to January 2025, Rigby competed in the eleventh season of the French TV series Prodiges. She won the competition, in which she was also awarded a scholarship worth €10 thousand. As a result, she signed with Warner Classics and released her debut studio album Monroe, which features classical pieces and crossover songs, on 28 November 2025.

On 2 March 2026, multiple French outlets reported that Monroe had been selected as the French entrant for the Eurovision Song Contest 2026, which would later be confirmed on 6 March, with the broadcaster France Télévisions also unveiling her entry, “Regarde !“.

Lyrics “Regarde !”:

Quand tout s’illumine
Dans tout Paris
Que les rues se vident
Je reste ici

J’ai cherché ton amour
Dans tous les faubourgs
Je chante tous les jours

Regarde-moi, regarde-toi
C’est ça l’amour, ça te foudroie
Regarde-moi, regarde-toi

Regarde-moi, regarde-toi
C’est ça l’amour, ça te foudroie
Regarde-moi, regarde-toi
C’est ça l’amour
Tu ne seras jamais perdu

C’est ça l’amour
Il est partout
Il est là, là, là

Regarde-moi, regarde-toi
C’eѕt ça l’amour, ça te foudroie
Regаrde-moi

When everything glows
Across all of Paris
When the streets fall silent
I stay here

I searched for your love
Through every neighbourhood
I sing about it every day

Look at me, look at yourself
That’s what love is, it hits you like lightning
Look at me, look at yourself
That’s love
You will never be lost

Come with me, let me take you
To a place where love burns strong
Come with me, you’re not crazy
Inside my chest, you set my heartbeat

Come with me into the pouring rain
I’ll tell everyone it’s real
I’ll tell women, men and children
I’ll tell the world in every song

I searched for your love
Through every neighbourhood
I sing about it every day

Look at me, look at yourself
That’s what love is, it hits you like lightning
Look at me, look at yourself
That’s love
You will never be lost

🇩🇪 Germany: Sarah Engels (Sarah Lombardi) – “Fire” (Feuer) (Dario Schürmann, Luisa Heinemann, Raphael Lott, Valentin Boes, Sarah Lombardi). Language: English

Sarah Engels first rose to national recognition in 2011, becoming known to an audience of millions through her participation in Deutschland Sucht Den Superstar.

Her debut single Call My Name and its accompanying album Heartbeat brought immediate chart success to the singer, and she also received an Echo award nomination.

Her versatility makes Sarah Engels one of Germany’s most sought-after artists: from second place in Let’s Dance to her victories in Das große Promibacken, The Masked Singer and Dancing on Ice, as well as regular work as a moderator, actress and voice actress.

In 2025, Sarah released her most recent album Strong Girls Club. She ended the year stepping out onto the musical stage, taking on the lead role in the Cologne production of Moulin Rouge.

Sarah Engels (born 15 October 1992), formerly known as Sarah Lombardi, is a German singer and television personality. She rose to prominence in 2011 after participating in season 8 of Deutschland sucht den Superstar, where she was eliminated from the Top 10, only to return two shows later and eventually become the runner-up.

In 2020, she represented Italy at the Free European Song Contest 2020 with the song “Te Amo Mi Amor”, finishing 13th out of 16. In 2026, she is set to represent Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in Vienna with her song “Fire” after winning the German selection for the contest.

Career.

Deutschland sucht den Superstar. Engels also participated in season 7 of Deutschland sucht den Superstar but was eliminated during the recall after her duet with Eugen Flittner. In season 8, she was eliminated in the first Live Show. Later on, she was asked to come back because RTL chief Tom Sänger (not the voters) had eliminated Nina Richel from the show, allegedly for health reasons.

By performance.

2025–present. In August 2025, Engels released her fourth studio album Strong Girls Club, a double album featuring German-language songs on one half and English-language songs on the other. It debuted and peaked at number 53 on the German Albums Chart before dropping off in its second week, becoming Engels’ lowest-performing album to date. In November 2025, she began portraying the role of Satine in the Cologne production of the musical Moulin Rouge!, based on the same-titled 2001 film directed by Baz Luhrmann. In February 2026, Engels competed with her song “Fire” in the national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2026, which she went on to win.

Personal life. Engels is of Italian descent. She married Pietro Lombardi in March 2013 and changed her name from Engels to Lombardi. On 19 June 2015, their son Alessio was born. She announced their separation in October 2016. In November 2020 she got engaged to soccer player Julian Büscher. The couple married in May 2021 and have had Sarah Engels’s birth-name as their family name ever since. On 2 December 2021, their daughter Solea was born.

Lyrics “Fire”:

Stop denying, ′nying
No lying, lying no more

Boy, I’m out of your league
Nonsense, what you′ve been doing to me
Just know that I could take my revenge
I could go out with all of your friends

I could fake it ‘til I make it, but I won’t
If you crave it, you could take it, but you don’t
I don’t want it, I don′t need it
And I won’t let you repeat it
You just play until you break it and it′s blown

I’m on fire, fire
You’re a liar, liar
Stop denying, ′nying
No lying, lying no more
Like a vampire, you hide
And come out the night
Stop denying, ′nying
No lying, lying no more

I’m on fire, fire
(I′m on fire, fire)
Stop denying, ‘nying, no lying, lying no more

Just wait a minute, you′re gonna see
That you won’t find another like me
You′ll come around and I’ll be too late
‘Cause I won′t do the same old mistake

I could fake it ′til I make it, but I won’t
If you crave it, you could take it, but you don′t
I don′t want it, I don’t need it
And I won’t let you repeat it
You just play until you break it and it′ѕ blown

I′m on fire, fire
You’re a liar, liar
Stop denying, ′nying
No lying, lying no more
Like a vampire, you hide
And come out the night
Stop denying, ‘nying
No lying, lying no more

I′m on fire, fire
Stop denying, ′nying
No lying, lying no more
Like a vampire, you hide
And come out the night
Stop denying, ‘nying
No lying, lying no more

Kein Lügen, Lügen – nicht mehr

Junge, ich spiel in ‘ner anderen Liga
Ein Unding, was du mir angetan hast
Könnt mit all deinen Freunden ausgehen

Biography.

Early years. Sal Da Vinci was born in 1969 in New York City. His father, Mario Da Vinci (born Alfonso Sorrentino), a Neapolitan singer and actor, was on tour in the United States at the time and was later joined there by his wife, Nina. Sal grew up in Naples, specifically in the Mergellina area (Chiaia neighbourhood), in the commercial zone known as Torretta. He performed for the first time in front of a paying audience at just six years old.

1976–1992: early career in music, cinema, and theatre. In 1976, he made his debut in the music world by recording the song “Miracolo ‘e Natale” (by Alberto Sciotti and Tony Iglio) as a duet with his father; the song was later adapted into a sceneggiata (Neapolitan musical drama) of the same name. In 1977, alongside his father Mario, he debuted in the theatre with the sceneggiatas entitled Caro papà and Senza mamma e senza padre.

In 1978, he also made his cinema debut, again with his father Mario, in the movie Figlio mio sono innocente! by Carlo Caiano; the following year, he filmed a second movie, Napoli storia d’amore e di vendetta by Mario Bianchi. In 1979, he starred as the lead alongside his father Mario in the sceneggiata entitled ‘O cunvento. In 1980, he took part in the movie Montevergine.

In 1981, Sal made his theatre debut with his father in ‘A mamma. In 1982, he recorded his first album, O guappo nnammurato, for the La Canzonetta Record label; in addition to songs from the classical Neapolitan repertoire, he recorded the unreleased tracks “Lettera a Napoli” and “Meglio ca ‘o ssaje” by Alberto Sciotti and Tony Iglio. That same year, he participated in the children’s singing festival Ambrogino d’Oro with the song “Hai fatto buca!”. In 1984, he starred in the musical movie Il motorino by Ninì Grassia, featuring his father Mario Da Vinci. That same year, he appeared in the theatre with his father in Tanti auguri and ‘A bambulella.

In 1986, he appeared alongside Carlo Verdone and Alberto Sordi in the movie Troppo forte, playing the role of the “scugnizzo” (street kid) Capua. Over the years, he moved away from acting to dedicate himself more to music: his first experience in this direction was the recording of two tracks, “Guaglione” (written by Peppe Lanzetta and James Senese) and “Mannaggia e viva ‘o rre” (written entirely by Senese), released by La Canzonetta Record.

1992–2008: musical breakthrough. In 1992, he took part in the singing competition Una voce per Sanremo within the Sunday variety show Domenica in, hosted by Toto Cutugno and Alba Parietti. In 1994, he participated in the second and final edition of the Festival italiano (organized by Canale 5 and presented by Mike Bongiorno with Antonella Elia as an alternative to the Sanremo Music Festival), winning first place with the song “Vera”. This track became the lead single of his first album released by Ricordi, entitled Sal Da Vinci.

In 1995, he performed the Latin song “Salve Regina” by Francesco Palmieri in the presence of Pope John Paul II in Loreto, before a crowd of over 450,000 young people. That same year, he released the single “Fai come vuoi”. In 1996, he released the single “Dimmi come fai”, which preceded the album Un po’ di noi. Meanwhile, his song “Vera” achieved massive success in South America under the title “Vida mi vida”, covered by the Spanish artist Marcos Llunas, selling over 4 million copies worldwide. In 1998, he moved to the EMI label and recorded the album Solo. In 1999, he met Roberto De Simone, who cast him in the leading role of the Opera buffa del Giovedì Santo. This marked the play’s return to the stage twenty years after its debut starring Concetta and Peppe Barra. The premiere took place on January 12, 2000, at the Teatro Metastasio in Prato, followed by a two-year tour of Italian theatres. On September 29 of the same year, MBO released a CD single, “Vurria saglire in cielo”, based on a 18th-century archaic Neapolitan melodic theme by Roberto De Simone, a Neapolitan gospel with music by Sal Da Vinci and Gianni Guarracino and Italian lyrics by Maurizio Morante.

In 2002, the single “Oh Marì” was released, with music and lyrics by Roberto De Simone, rap sections by Joel and Sha-one, and arrangements by Raffaele Minale. From March 2002 to February 2007, he returned to acting in the musical C’era una volta… Scugnizzi, written by Claudio Mattone and Enrico Vaime. The musical received prestigious awards, including the 2003 Theatre Oscar from the ETI (Ente Teatrale Italiano) as the best musical of the year. In 2004, he collaborated with Lucio Dalla, Gigi D’Alessio, and Gigi Finizio on the song “Napule”, which was included in Gigi D’Alessio’s album Quanti amori.

For the 2005-2006 and 2006-2007 theatrical seasons, he took part in the musical theater project Anime napoletane, created and produced by Claudio and Tullio Mattone for Napoliteatro; in the show, he performed Neapolitan songs reimagined in a modern key, interspersed with spoken performances by Pietro Pignatelli. An eponymous album containing 14 ancient and modern Neapolitan classics was released alongside the show. In 2005, he co-wrote the songs “Per averti” and “A modo mio” with Gigi Finizio and Marco Fasano for the album Per averti.

In 2008, he released the single “Nnammuratè”, written with Vincenzo D’Agostino as part of the album Canto per amore. The album was tied to a theatrical show running from November 6, 2008, to March 15, 2009, directed and choreographed by Gino Landi. That same year, he appeared as a regular singer on the Saturday night variety show Volami nel cuore, hosted by Pupo and Ernesto Schinella.

2009–2023: first participation in the Sanremo Music Festival and theatrical activities. In February 2009, he participated in the 59th Sanremo Music Festival with the song “Non riesco a farti innamorare”, co-written with Vincenzo D’Agostino and Gigi D’Alessio; he finished in third place at the end of the event.

The album reached 19th place on the FIMI charts and was promoted by an eponymous summer tour that ran from April to October, including a performance at the Arena Flegrea on June 5. On March 19, 2010, his record Il mercante di stelle was released. The album consists of three unreleased tracks: “Il mercante di stelle” (written with Depsa), “Orologio senza tempo” (written with Vincenzo D’Agostino), and “Famme vedé” (written entirely by him), with arrangements by Adriano Pennino. It also features seven Italian and international classics, arranged by Maurizio Bosnia. The album reached 20th place on the FIMI charts and served as the lead-in for the theatrical show Io + voi = noi, which ran until the early months of 2012.

Also in May 2011, he starred in the two-act musical production Napoli: chi resta e chi parte by Giuseppe Patroni Griffi, based on Raffaele Viviani’s Caffè di notte e giorno and Scalo marittimo, directed by Armando Pugliese with arrangements by Adriano Pennino. 2012 marked the artist’s return to the music scene. Indeed, starting March 23, the single “Fin dove c’è vita” entered radio rotation, anticipating the release of the new studio album È così che gira il mondo, which debuted at 12th place on the FIMI charts.

In December 2014, he debuted at the Teatro Augusteo in Naples with Stelle a metà, a musical whose songs were written by Sal in collaboration with Alessandro Siani. In 2015, he collaborated with Siani again on the score for the movie Si accettano miracoli, directed by Siani himself. On August 19 of the same year, he performed in concert in Sapri for 7th Sapri anni 60 Festival.

2024–present: recent success, Sanremo and Eurovision. In the summer of 2024, he released the new single “Rossetto e caffè“, written with Luca Barbato and Vincenzo D’Agostino, which was certified double platinum. In December, the release of the single “Non è vero che sto bene” followed.

On February 14, 2025, he participated in the 75th Sanremo Music Festival as a guest during the fourth night (dedicated to covers), where he performed his single “Rossetto e caffè” alongside the competing group The Kolors, finishing in tenth place. On May 16, the single “L’amore e tu” was released. On August 11, it was announced that he had joined Warner Music Italy. During the months of September and October, he became one of the coaches on the talent show Io canto Family, broadcast on Canale 5 and hosted by Michelle Hunziker.

On 28 February 2026, he returned to the 76th Sanremo Music Festival as a contestant with the song “Per sempre sì”, with which he won and earned the right to represent Italy in the Eurovision Song Contest 2026.

“Per sempre sì” (“Forever Yes”) is a song co-written and recorded by Italian singer Sal Da Vinci. It was released on 25 February 2026 through Atlantic and Warner Music Italy during Sanremo Music Festival 2026. After winning Sanremo, it will represent Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026.

The song reached number two on the Italian singles chart, becoming his highest charting entry there.

Overview. According to Da Vinci himself, the song is intended to be a hymn to universal love: “a declaration of love that knows no boundaries, labels, or barriers, capable of speaking to everyone, regardless of age, orientation, or personal history. […] What I hope for is freedom for all. Freedom is not something trivial at all; it’s about being free to live, to be yourself.” In an interview with the newspaper Il manifesto, Sal Da Vinci described his song as follows: “Behind it, there is a message for the younger generations. Keeping promises is fundamental; it gives you balance. The song’s story celebrates an eternal love, but the important thing is to plan one’s future.”

Background. “Per sempre sì” was written and composed by Da Vinci himself with Alessandro La Cava, Eugenio Maimone, Federica Abbate and Da Vinci’s son Francesco Da Vinci, arranged by Adriano Pennino, and produced by Merk & Kremont. As stated in an interview given to Rockol, the song came about through Da Vinci’s collaboration with Filippo Gemignano, an A&R representative at Warner Records. When the track was introduced to Warner, the label had a positive reaction to it, which encouraged Da Vinci to submit the song to the artistic director and presenter of the Sanremo Music Festival 2026, Carlo Conti.

Music video. The music video for “Per sempre sì”, directed by Giuseppe Marco Albano, was published alongside the release of the song through Da Vinci’s YouTube channel and featured the participation of Italian dancers Francesca Tocca and Marcello Sacchetta.

Davanti a Dio

Davanti a Dio

Saremo io e te
Da qui
Sarà per sempre

Si, soltanto si
Per questi giorni
E mille altri ancora
Un semplice si
L’eternità è dentro una parola

Saremo io e te
Per sempre
Legati per la vita che
Senza te
Non vale niente
Non ha senso vivere
Con la mano sul petto
Lo te lo prometto

It all began right from the start
When I was just a stranger to you
Then I became a king with a loving heart
And you, a queen now dressed in white as a bride
We dreamed of children in a big house
And overcame every difficulty
Because a love is not a lifelong love
If it has never faced the steepest climb

And the music will start playing
And here I will wait for you
The greatest day
I will give to you

It will be you and me
Forever
Bound for life because
Without you
Life is worth nothing
There is no sense in living
With my hand upon my chest
I promise it to you
Before God

It will be you and me
From here on
It will be forever, yes

I know well the future is a great unknown
But together it won’t frighten me because
We will build everything without raising a wall
Arguing and making love — what’s wrong with that?

And the music will start playing
For you I will sing
The greatest day
I will give to you

It will be you and me
Forever
Bound for life because
Without you
Life is worth nothing
There is no sense in living
With my hand upon my chest
I promise it to you
Before God

It will be you and me
From here on
It will be forever

Yes, only yes
For these days
And a thousand more to come
A simple yes
Eternity is inside a single word

It will be you and me
Forever
Bound for life because
Without you
Life is worth nothing
There is no sense in living
With my hand upon my chest
I promise it to you
Before God

It will be you аnd me
Like this
It will be forever, yeѕ

Sam Battle (born 1988 or 1989), better known online as Look Mum No Computer (stylised in all caps), is an English musician, YouTuber, electronics enthusiast, and composer who posts videos about making pro audio gear and synthesizers, as well as original music tracks.

He is known for making and playing unusual, esoteric, and eccentric electronic musical devices made from vintage technology; notably such devices as a Furby organ, a synthesizer fused with a classic Raleigh Chopper bicycle, and a Game Boy Triple Oscillator synthesizer. Battle runs This Museum Is Not Obsolete, a museum in Ramsgate, Kent which showcases vintage analogue devices repurposed for humorous uses. He is set to represent the United Kingdom in the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 with his song “Eins, Zwei, Drei”, released on 6 March 2026.

Early life. Battle spent much of his childhood indoors experimenting with building projects, such as rockets and robots inspired by the television show Robot Wars. From an early age, Battle showed a strong curiosity for mechanics, frequently dismantling toys, pedal cars, and household appliances like irons and toasters to explore their inner workings.

Career. Battle launched his YouTube channel in 2013, originally setup for ZIBRA, a band that Battle created with three friends. Battle’s first music gear related video was posted in 2016. Besides ad income from YouTube, Battle has also been funding his electronic inventions (such as on organ made of flame throwers) with fan donations, on the subscription platform Patreon.

In 2018, he created a synthesiser based on a Furby, by wiring it up into a modular synthesizer. In 2022, Battle began restoring a 1914 church organ, as an exhibit in This Museum is Not Obsolete, the process of which has been documented on his channel. Battle also produces and sells modular synthesizer components, such as the #1222 Performance VCO.

As of January 2024, his YouTube channel has garnered over sixty-three million views.

He released his first single, called “Groundhog Day”, in 2019. He did a tour in Germany, Switzerland and the UK in 2019.

In May 2022, he joined with Cuckoo and Hainbach to form a musical supergroup called Uncompressed.

Battle has co-produced several compositions for screening, such as Satellite Moment (with Charlie Fink), for the film adaptation of A Street Cat Named Bob, as well as Glitter and Gold (with Barns Courtney) for Netflix’s series Safe.

He typically uses modular synthesizers in his compositions.

As well as music he present a travel docu-series series called “Junk Rock TV” where he travelled around Europe making musical instruments and performing alongside Hainbach, Pedro Javier Gonzalez, Lydia Kavina and Fedde ten Berge.

In March 2025, he announced a video game called Look Mum No Computer, developed in collaboration with the German indie studio The Bitfather and publisher Headup Games. The game was released on Steam on 24 July 2025 and for consoles on 22 January 2026. In 2025 the game was nominated for the German Developer Award for Best Audio Design.

In February 2026, it was announced that Battle had been selected as the artist to represent the United Kingdom at Eurovision Song Contest 2026. Of being chosen to represent the country, he said he “found it completely bonkers to be jumping on this wonderful and wild journey. […] adding that he had always been a massive Eurovision fan, and that he [loves] the magical joy it brings to millions of people every year, so getting to join that legacy and fly the flag for the UK is an absolute honour that I am taking very seriously.” His song, Eins, Zwei, Drei, was released on 6 March and solely uses his “Kosmo” modular synthesizer.

“Eins, Zwei, Drei” is a song by British electronic musician Sam Battle, known as Look Mum No Computer. It was announced on 6 March 2026 on The Scott Mills Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2, and released independently through Look Mum No Label on the same day. In an internal selection, it was chosen to represent the United Kingdom in the Eurovision Song Contest 2026. The song shows the struggles of modern day work, the artist states that he wants a language he can count in to make himself feel better.

Background and release. In February 2026, the BBC internally selected English electronic musician and YouTuber Look Mum No Computer (real name Sam Battle) to represent the United Kingdom in the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in Vienna, Austria. Battle is known for creating experimental electronic music using self-built instruments and vintage synthesisers.

The song “Eins, Zwei, Drei” was written by Sam Battle alongside Danish songwriters Thomas Stengaard, Lasse Midtsian Nymann and Julie Aagaard, and produced by Battle, Stengaard and Nymann. According to Battle, the song was partly inspired by his performances in Germany and his appreciation for German audiences, which led to the use of the German counting phrase “eins, zwei, drei” (“one, two, three”) in the chorus.

The track was officially announced and released on 6 March 2026. It received its first radio play on The Scott Mills Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2, where Battle was interviewed about the song and his participation in the contest. The single was released to streaming platforms the same day, and its official music video premiered on the Eurovision Song Contest’s YouTube channel.

Reception. “Eins, Zwei, Drei” received mixed to polarised reviews from music critics following its release. Several outlets highlighted the song’s eccentric and unconventional style, with critics noting its heavy use of synthesisers, shouted vocals, and humorous lyrics. Writing for The Independent, Adam White described the track as an “objectively terrible melange of synthesisers and a very loud man”, though he also remarked that it at least provoked a reaction compared with more “beige” recent UK entries. Writing for The Guardian, Stuart Heritage described the track as an eccentric and novelty-driven entry that relied more on spectacle than traditional songwriting, noting its quirky lyrics and theatrical presentation.

In NME, Tom Skinner characterised the track as an ’80s-inspired synth-pop song with Britpop influences, featuring pulsing electronic instrumentation and lyrics about escaping the monotony of everyday work. Skinner also noted that the song’s chorus counts “one, two, three” in German and incorporates humorous British cultural references. Other reviewers were more positive about its novelty and entertainment value. The Times described the song as deliberately silly and reminiscent of novelty synth-pop tracks from the 1970s and 1980s, arguing that while it lacked lyrical depth it embraced the playful and eccentric spirit often associated with Eurovision. Scott Mills from BBC Radio 2 compared “Eins, Zwei, Drei” to a few songs like “Now You’re Gone” by Basshunter or “Parklife” by Blur.

Music video. The music video starts off with Look Mum No Computer at a desk with a lot of cables. The scene is set in a room. On the wall left of Look Mum No Computer shows three wall clocks, below each one of them are telephones. These are labelled after cities. One after Berlin, Germany, another one after Ramsgate, UK (the location of his museum) and the last one after Vienna, Austria as the host city of the Eurovision Song Contest 2026.

Jodie Bartle, player for Wrexham football club is one of the background characters.

Lyrics “Eins, Zwei, Drei”:

So sick of doing the whole 9 to 5
I pay my dues, I’m just stayin’ alive
And I’m so bored of it, bored of it
Oh, what’s the point of it, point of it?

A paracetamol to quench the pain
The office cubicle has trapped me again
Am I a mouse in a cage, am I
D-d-d-demotivational?

Ah, if only there was a language that I could count in
That would make me feel better, oh yah

Eins, zwei, drei
Darlin’, I need something salty
Eins, zwei, drei
With a slice of pepperoni
I’ll pay, you can owe me
That’ll be a pony
Eins, zwei, drei
I’m comin’ back to life

Eins, zwei, drei
Got me feeling okey-dokey
Eins, zwei, drei
Goodbye drudgery, hello me
So light you can throw me
Kill at karaoke
Eins, zwei, drei
I’m coming back to life

Countin’ in English doesn’t cut the mustard
So sick of munchin’ roly-poly with custard
I’m so bored with it, bored with it
Oh, what’s the point of it, point of it?

I’ve always been a fan of aviation
I’m jumpin’ on a plane to another nation
All my pounds, they feel counterfeit
I need some euros to counter it

Eins, zwei, drei
Darlin’, I need something salty
Eins, zwei, drei
With a slice of pepperoni
I’ll pay, you can owe me
That’ll be a pony
Eins, zwei, drei
I’m comin’ back to life

Eins, zwei, drei
Got me feeling okey-dokey
Eins, zwei, drei
Goodbye drudgery, hello me
So light you can throw me
Kill at karaoke
Eins, zwei, drei
I’m comin’ back to life

Lyrics “Tanzschein”:

Steh vor dem Club
Bin schon gespannt
Sag hast du Lust
Auf einen Tanz?

Wir treten ein
Auf der Suche nach Ekstase
Doch hinterm Neonlichterschein

Ey ey
Das kann doch gar nicht wahr sein
Die machen sich zum Affen
Und Tänzer seh ich gar kein

Ey ey
Ich hätt eine Idee
Ein Konzept
Das wär ja einfach perfekt

Sie brauchen einen Tanzschein
Da muss ich streng sein
Weil ohne Tanzschein
Lass ich Sie nicht rein

Haben Sie einen Tanzschein?
Das soll kein Witz sein
Weil ohne Tanzschein
Da kommen Sie nicht rein

Ich schließ die Augen
Dann bin ich Clubbesitzer
Und auf der schwarzen Liste
Stehen die Steroidenspritzer

Und auch wenn sie nur bellen
Und eigentlich gar nicht beißen
Das ist hier die Regel
Hunde müssen draußen bleiben

Ey ey
So kann es jeden Tag sein
Wir tanzen durch die Nacht
Und Löwen seh ich gar kein

Ey ey
Draußen macht sich wer zum Affen
Doch der Türsteher sagt mit einem Lachen

Sie brauchen einen Tanzschein
Da muss ich streng sein
Weil ohne Tanzschein
Lass ich Sie nicht rein

Haben Sie einen Tanzschein?
Das soll kein Witz sein
Weil ohne Tanzschein
Da kommen Sie nicht rein

Der Gorilla in der Ecke
Träumt von seiner Pirouette
Er scheut sich vor den Blicken
Die die Artgenossen schicken

Ich nehm ihn an der Hand, ja
Bildet einen Gang
Wir schauen uns in die Augen
Und jetzt fangen wir an

Ey ey ey ey
Du kannst mir vertrauen
Ey ey ey ey
Hier ist alles erlaubt
Ooh…
Wir haben uns doch lang genug versteckt

Und alle wollen einen Tanzschein
Sie wollen wie wir sein
Doch ohne Tanzschein
Werden sie Tiere bleiben

Haben Sie einen Tanzschein?
Das soll kein Witz sein
Weil ohne Tanzѕchein
Dа kommen Sie nicht rein

¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦

I’m standing outside the club
Already feeling the rush
So, tell me, are you down
To dance with me?

We step inside
Chasing after ecstasy
But behind the neon glow
Lies an animal-oasis

And there’s a lion
Hitting on a gazelle
Hunger makes him reckless
And he’s creeping up on her

Inside the cage he tears through like a blade
Everybody knows he’s not romantic
He’s not into talking

Ey ey
This can’t be happening
They’re making fools of themselves
And I don’t see a single dancer

Ey ey
But I’ve got an idea
A concept
Yeah, that would work perfectly

You need a dance permit
I gotta be strict
‘Cause without a dance permit
You’re not getting in

Do you have a dance permit?
No, this is not a joke
‘Cause without a dance permit
You’re not getting in

I close my eyes
And suddenly I’m the owner of the club
And on the blacklist
Are the steroid injectors

And even if they only bark
And don’t bite
That’s the rule around here
Dogs need to stay outside

Ey ey
That’s how it could be every day
We’re dancing through the night
And I don’t see any lions

Ey ey
Outside someone’s making a fool of themselves
But the bouncer just says, laughing:

You need a dance permit
I gotta be strict
‘Cause without a dance permit
You’re not getting in

Do you have a dance permit?
No, this is not a joke
‘Cause without a dance permit
You’re not getting in

The gorilla in the corner
Dreams of doing pirouettes
He’s scared of all the stares
His fellows throw at him

I take his hand, yeah
Get out the way
We look into each other’s eyes
And then we begin

Ey ey ey ey
You can trust me
Ey ey ey ey
Anything is allowed here
Ooh
We’ve been hiding long enough

And now they all want a dance permit
They wanna be like us
But without a dance permit
They’ll stay animals

Do you have a dance permit?
No, this is not a joke

Benjamin Gedeon (born 18 June 2006), known professionally as Cosmó (stylized in all caps), is an Austrian singer and songwriter. He will represent Austria in the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in Vienna with the song “Tanzschein”.

Early life. Gedeon was born in Budapest, Hungary and grew up in Halbturn, Burgenland, Austria. He was born to a German father and Hungarian mother. At the age of four, he attended early musical education at the Neusiedl am See Central Music School. Two years later, Gedeon began piano lessons at the same school. He has been taking singing lessons since he was 13. Around this age, Gedeon also began writing down melodies and lyrics. Under his birth name, he released his first songs, which he produced himself.

Career. In 2020, Gedeon auditioned for the German singing competition The Voice Kids for the first time and was eliminated after the second round. He returned in 2022, and this time Gedeon not only progressed further in the scouting process but also reached the final of the tenth season with coach Álvaro Soler, where he sang two Frank Sinatra songs.

As a result, Gedeon performed at two of Soler’s concerts, at the Kasematten open-air stage in Graz’s Schlossberg and at the Gasometer in Vienna. He also performed at the warm-up for the Starnacht am Neusiedlersee, at the Gols folk festival and the Halbturn Tschardakenfest, played a piano concert at Kittsee Castle with his piano teacher, Gebhard Rauscher, simultaneously on two grand pianos, and met the governor of Burgenland, who had watched Gedeon’s performances on television, in October. In December, he gave his first radio interview on the Burgenland program “Mahlzeit Burgenland” on Radio Burgenland.

In July 2021, Gedeon won the podium.jazz.pop.rock… competition for young musicians from Burgenland with a vocal and piano performance of his self-composed jazz piece “Fall into Your Arms”. He also participated in the Burgenland Song Challenge in autumn 2023 with the song “Fall into Your Arms”. For this, Gedeon formed a band for live concerts and studio recordings, which can be heard in his song.

On 15 December 2025, it was announced that Gedeon would compete in the Austrian national final for the Eurovision Song Contest 2026, dubbed Vienna Calling – Wer singt für Österreich?, with the song “Tanzschein” under the stage name Cosmó. He won in the final on 20 February 2026, thus earning the right to represent Austria on home soil.

Lyrics “Tanzschein”:

Steh vor dem Club
Bin schon gespannt
Sag hast du Lust
Auf einen Tanz?

Wir treten ein
Auf der Suche nach Ekstase
Doch hinterm Neonlichterschein

Ey ey
Das kann doch gar nicht wahr sein
Die machen sich zum Affen
Und Tänzer seh ich gar kein

Ey ey
Ich hätt eine Idee
Ein Konzept
Das wär ja einfach perfekt

Sie brauchen einen Tanzschein
Da muss ich streng sein
Weil ohne Tanzschein
Lass ich Sie nicht rein

Haben Sie einen Tanzschein?
Das soll kein Witz sein
Weil ohne Tanzschein
Da kommen Sie nicht rein

Ich schließ die Augen
Dann bin ich Clubbesitzer
Und auf der schwarzen Liste
Stehen die Steroidenspritzer

Und auch wenn sie nur bellen
Und eigentlich gar nicht beißen
Das ist hier die Regel
Hunde müssen draußen bleiben

Ey ey
So kann es jeden Tag sein
Wir tanzen durch die Nacht
Und Löwen seh ich gar kein

Ey ey
Draußen macht sich wer zum Affen
Doch der Türsteher sagt mit einem Lachen

Sie brauchen einen Tanzschein
Da muss ich streng sein
Weil ohne Tanzschein
Lass ich Sie nicht rein

Haben Sie einen Tanzschein?
Das soll kein Witz sein
Weil ohne Tanzschein
Da kommen Sie nicht rein

Der Gorilla in der Ecke
Träumt von seiner Pirouette
Er scheut sich vor den Blicken
Die die Artgenossen schicken

Ich nehm ihn an der Hand, ja
Bildet einen Gang
Wir schauen uns in die Augen
Und jetzt fangen wir an

Ey ey ey ey
Du kannst mir vertrauen
Ey ey ey ey
Hier ist alles erlaubt
Ooh…
Wir haben uns doch lang genug versteckt

Und alle wollen einen Tanzschein
Sie wollen wie wir sein
Doch ohne Tanzschein
Werden sie Tiere bleiben

Haben Sie einen Tanzschein?
Das soll kein Witz sein
Weil ohne Tanzѕchein
Dа kommen Sie nicht rein

¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦

I’m standing outside the club
Already feeling the rush
So, tell me, are you down
To dance with me?

We step inside
Chasing after ecstasy
But behind the neon glow
Lies an animal-oasis

And there’s a lion
Hitting on a gazelle
Hunger makes him reckless
And he’s creeping up on her

Inside the cage he tears through like a blade
Everybody knows he’s not romantic
He’s not into talking

Ey ey
This can’t be happening
They’re making fools of themselves
And I don’t see a single dancer

Ey ey
But I’ve got an idea
A concept
Yeah, that would work perfectly

You need a dance permit
I gotta be strict
‘Cause without a dance permit
You’re not getting in

Do you have a dance permit?
No, this is not a joke
‘Cause without a dance permit
You’re not getting in

I close my eyes
And suddenly I’m the owner of the club
And on the blacklist
Are the steroid injectors

And even if they only bark
And don’t bite
That’s the rule around here
Dogs need to stay outside

Ey ey
That’s how it could be every day
We’re dancing through the night
And I don’t see any lions

Ey ey
Outside someone’s making a fool of themselves
But the bouncer just says, laughing:

You need a dance permit
I gotta be strict
‘Cause without a dance permit
You’re not getting in

Do you have a dance permit?
No, this is not a joke
‘Cause without a dance permit
You’re not getting in

The gorilla in the corner
Dreams of doing pirouettes
He’s scared of all the stares
His fellows throw at him

I take his hand, yeah
Get out the way
We look into each other’s eyes
And then we begin

Ey ey ey ey
You can trust me
Ey ey ey ey
Anything is allowed here
Ooh
We’ve been hiding long enough

And now they all want a dance permit
They wanna be like us
But without a dance permit
They’ll stay animals

Do you have a dance permit?
No, this is not a joke
‘Cauѕe without a dаnce permit
You’re not getting in
